I am going to be sharing snapshot of my fitness journey with you all today. I was always in sports in High School, have tried my luck in Soccer, Tennis, Track, and also cheerleading for one semester (my least fav).
I played soccer and was member of track all throughout high school, so you can say I was extremely active in sports. And then I moved to college, since I wasn’t playing any sports, I religiously went to the Gym for 4 years, 6am in the morning and then again at noon. Yup, I used to go to Gym twice a day, I was crazy and fit!
Fast Forward to 2009, I stopped everything due to work, and also had gained 20 extra pounds. Since then it has been always on and off love affair with my gym routines. Two years ago, I started to work out almost daily, thanks to my friend who pushed me to do so. And then again last year it went downhill due to wedding planning and everything else that had happened in life.
To be very honest, my life has been busy or not, I just always found an excuse for me not to go to the gym. Since I have been married, I have been running few times here and there, nothing consistent. I have also seen my health deteriorate since last year. I am skinny but I am definitely not healthy or strong anymore. I get tired and exhausted very quickly. My sweet hubby has been telling me for over a year to go to gym. And not until now I realized I need to do this again for myself and become stronger than before. So I started the sweet journey with my run.
I find running in a gym very BORING so the only thing that has always saved me is my music, so make sure to get good music on your playlist to keep you high energy and pumped. And also, for some reason I have had to have those BIG headphones over my head because my running couldn’t handle my small earphones. I always dropped them every 2 minutes or always was making sure they are plugged in every few seconds, it sure does ruin the experience. So I recently received Sudio VASA Blå earphones, they are savior since they are wireless and can operate for 8 hours. I haven’t pulled or dropped them (GO ANTI-TANGLE YAY!!). They are super-light, surely lightest in the market. To be very honest, I love Scandinavian design brands, they usually have premium and quality designs just like these earphones. I am SUPER happy I found something so nice and fitting for me.
I have also signed up for Pilates. I have always been a huge fan of Pilates, it surely does build strong and lean body. I am super excited and looking forward to getting myself into the best shape I have ever been!!!!
